About the role
Connex Education is seeking an organised and responsible cover supervisor to provide general cover, classroom supervision and student support at a secondary school in Redcar . This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday starting to commence after half term on Monday 7th March The school are ideally looking for someone who has experience working in UK based ideally however are open to looking into applicants who have experiece in other sectors working with children aged 11-16.

A Well established mainstream secondary school The school is looking for a Cover Supervisor who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils education. The right candidate will be able to confidently step into lessons and continue teaching the existing schemes of work.
Assignment Details
As a cover supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a productive and orderly learning environment for students ages 11-16 when their regular teacher is unavailable. This Includes supervising whole classes across various subjects when teachers are absent and following lesson plans left by teachers to facilitate activities and assist students. It also important to support students in completing tasks and promoting positive behaviour in the classroom

Person Specification
- must be 21 and over
- Have experience in UK based schools or other UK based employment working with students aged 11-16
- Drivers would be preferred although not essential
- You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
- Have excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English writing and speaking
- Be able to provide references to cover the last 2 years of employment
