About the role Connex Education is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Behaviour Support Assistant for a long-term supply position at an innovative school in Middlesbrough. We are looking for someone with proven expertise in behaviour management and a track record of implementing successful intervention strategies.
Assignment Details Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and develop effective behaviour management strategies
- Lead on de-escalation techniques and positive interventions
- Create and maintain behaviour support plans for challenging students
- Provide strategic support to teaching staff on behaviour management
- Monitor, assess and record student behaviour patterns
- Deliver targeted interventions for students with specific behavioural needs
- Mentor students to develop positive behaviour patterns
- Support the whole-school behaviour policy
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience in behaviour management within an educational setting
- Proven track record of successfully managing challenging behaviours
- Expert knowledge of de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour strategies
- Strong understanding of emotional and behavioural difficulties in young people
- Experience in creating and implementing successful behaviour intervention plans
- Excellent crisis management and conflict resolution skills
- Calm, resilient approach with outstanding communication abilities
- Experience working with children aged 11-16 in a behaviour support role
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
