About the Role:
We are currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Tameside, Greater Manchester, looking for a qualified Business Studies Teacher to join their team on a temporary full-time basis. The position will run from November 2024 to April 2025, covering an open vacancy.
The school is a vibrant and inclusive mixed-gender institution for students aged 11–16, with a strong focus on delivering the best educational outcomes for every student. As a Business Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching KS3 and BTEC Business Studies.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Business Studies to KS3 and GCSE students.
– Inspire and motivate students to achieve their best, including supporting students preparing for external exams (BTEC and GCSE).
– Create an inclusive learning environment where students of all abilities can thrive.
– Actively contribute to the department’s ongoing development and improvement.
– Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
– Show initiative and adapt to the needs of the students and the school.
Ideal Candidate:
– QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and experience teaching Business Studies at KS3 and GCSE or BTEC level.
– Strong subject knowledge, with a passion for Business Studies and the ability to inspire students.
– A proven track record of achieving excellent results and promoting outstanding progress in Business Studies.
– A dynamic, innovative, and engaging teaching style with high expectations for student achievement.
– Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism.
– A collaborative team player who is flexible and adaptable.
– Strong moral principles and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
