About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated DT, Food & Textiles teacher to join our successful Technology department. The role involves teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
About the School The school is a thriving secondary academy in Stockton-on-Tees with approximately 1,200 students. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted .
Job Description and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging DT, Food and Textiles lessons for KS3 and KS4 students following department schemes of work
- Monitor and assess student progress through regular marking and feedback
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status, PGCE OR QTLS
- Degree in Design Technology, Food Technology, Textiles or related field
- Experience teaching DT subjects at KS3 and KS4 levels
- Strong practical skills in food preparation and textiles
- Excellent classroom management abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
