The school are looking for a teacher of food technology teacher to join the team immediately, for the rest of the academic year.. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher or an early careers teacher to join a thriving and cheerful department who are looking for their next long term hire.

Assignment details

This post is to start immediately, and you will be required until July as a minimum. Within the role you will be working Monday to Friday, Full time (8am-3.30pm). This will be a full teaching role meaning you will have planning and marking responsibilities, with relevant PPA time factoring into your timetable.

Person Specification

  • Hold qualified teaching status
  • Have suitable, UK teaching experience
  • Hold good subject knowledge
  • Able to work with students of varied abilities up to KS4/KS5
  • Can commit to a long term placement until July as a minimum
  • Reliable and consistent
  • Capable of your ability to work with challenging behaviour
  • Able to work under pressure effectively and ‘think on your feet’
  • Passionate about the success of young people and supporting the local community
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can do attitude’ and good sense of humour
