About the Role:
Connex Education are currently working very closely with a great school in Newark who will be looking for a higher level teaching assistant to join the team, supporting a SEN pupil. Experience with ADHD and challenging behaviour is highly desirable for this post.
Assignment Details:
For this role we are looking for staff immediately, however a later start can be considered if you are seeking work later in the academic year. You can work full time (5 days per week) or we can allow flexible contracts, so if part time suits you better then that works for us!

Person Specification:
- Have some experience working with young people with SEND in either a school setting or a similar environment
- Be confident in your ability to support students with varied needs and/or challenging behaviours
- Hold strong communication skills both orally and written.
- Able to follow EHCP and care/learning plans effectively if needed too (not essential)
- Willing to undergo continual professional training.
- Be reliable and committed to working within an education environment
- Able to work under pressure effectively and ‘think on your feet’
- Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can do attitude’ and good sense of humour.
