Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location : Sunderland

Full time from February half term 

Salary £95 to £115

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Provide support to individual students or small groups, tailoring instruction to meet their specific needs and learning styles.
  • Lead whole-class activities under the guidance of the teacher, ensuring a smooth and productive learning experience for all students.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior, mutual respect, and a love for learning.
  • Assist in assessing and monitoring students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the planning and organisation of school events, extracurricular activities, and educational outings.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or equivalent.
  • A deep passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on young learners.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students and create a supportive learning environment.
