Connex Education are working with a school in Middlesbrough who are looking for an experienced Pastoral Manager to work with children in KS3 and KS4. The school would also welcome applications from applicants who have worked in other pastoral/inclusion roles within the UK.
Specific duties include:
- To monitor and report attendance and punctuality
- To support student engagement.
- To undertake first-aid responsibilities as per rota.
- Safeguarding responsibilities in line with role.
- To undertake pastoral quality assurance every term.
- To supervise isolated learning and BfL.
- On occasions, other duties to meet the needs and demands of the school
Essential requirements
- Be able to build relationships with students
- Be a good role model , nurturing and patient
- Have previous experience of supporting behaviour to learning
- Be able to work as part of a team, be flexible where needed
- Working under own initative and time management
- Possess a successful record of working with children in a support or pastoral role
- Experience within a U.K based setting
- Enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service
- Be able to provide references for last 2 years employment
- Learnt strategies on how to encourage good behaviour and positive learning
