Connex Education is excited to be working with The Flying High Trust, where one of their primary schools is seeking a SEND Teacher.

  • Start date: 01/2025
  • End date: 07/2025
  • Full-time working

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of SEND pupils
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other professionals
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and caregivers
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and other statutory documentation
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching SEND pupils
  • Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice
  • Excellent behavior management skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Additional SEND qualifications
  • Experience with EHCP processes
  • Knowledge of alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS)
  • Experience with sensory integration strategies
