About the role

Connex Education is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to work at a primary school in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

We are currently seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to work full-time or part-time specifically in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6). As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supporting pupils aged 7-11 in small groups or one-to-one settings, helping them develop core literacy and numeracy skills while supporting their broader educational development. This includes working with students with various needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Assignment Details

The role is available for immediate start, with the potential for long-term placement at our Sutton-in-Ashfield primary school. You will be working primarily with children aged 7-11, supporting their learning across the Key Stage 2 curriculum including English, Mathematics, Science, and foundation subjects.

Person Specification

Experience working with Key Stage 2 children is beneficial, but we are more interested in finding compassionate and caring individuals who have:

• A passion for working with primary school children
• Understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum or willingness to learn
• Ability to support children with core subjects including English and Mathematics
• Patience and dedication to making a difference in students’ lives
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with teachers and children
• Ability to commute to Sutton-in-Ashfield

We don’t require specific qualifications as we provide full training through Connex Academy. We focus on the transferable skills you have and your attitude towards working in education.
