SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you looking for a full time, long term post as a 1:1 Teaching Assistnt in Waltham Forest? Connex Education is collaborating with a great school in this area, who are actively seeking TA’s for a number of classes working 1-1 with pupils with ASD in a maintream classroom setting. 

Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant

• Provide personalized assistance to the students, staff, and families, fostering positive relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop tailored learning plans and pathways, supporting student progress.
• Demonstrate commitment to enhancing students’ lives socially, physically, and academically.
• Proficiently offer necessary support to students, including working 1:1 with those with impaired hearing.
• Exhibit resilience, adaptability, and quick thinking in diverse environments.

Experience required:

• Prior experience in education or care settings, particularly with Special Educational Needs in particular ASD, is advantageous.
• All applicants must hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
