Job Title: Full-Time School Kitchen Assistant – Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) School
Location: Sheffield (S7)
Monday to Friday: 8:30 to 3:30pm
Hourly rate :£12 to £14 per hour
About Us:
They are a specialized SEND school dedicated to providing exceptional care and education to students with special educational needs and disabilities. They are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis on a temp to perm contract
Position Overview:
As a Full-Time School Kitchen Assistant at the SEND school, you will play a vital role in supporting the dietary needs of our students. Your responsibilities will include assisting in meal preparation, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of the school kitchen. You will need to obtain an enhanced DBS for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and cooking meals tailored to students with special dietary requirements.
- Serve meals to students and staff with care and sensitivity to individual needs.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Support the kitchen staff in organizing supplies and managing inventory.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines, particularly those relevant to special dietary needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is preferred.
- Compassion, patience, and sensitivity when working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the unique requirements of our SEND school community.
