As a SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of a year 5 pupil with Autism and other complex needs. This SEND Teaching Assistant job is based both in and out of the classroom and the location of the primary school is in Garforth(LS25)
Daily Rate – £11.50 to £13.00 per hour (Depending on skills, qualifications and prior experience).
Part time – 8:30am to 12pmstarting after October half term, Monday- Friday(term time only)

The role will include but is not limited to:
- Aiding with the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Assisting in creating a safe and nurturing environment for the pupil you are supporting.
- Supporting the pupil with their daily routines and access to learning
- Fostering positive relationships with other students, parents and caregivers, outside agencies, and staff members
- Experience with KS2 curriculum.
- Collaborating with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with complex needs is essential.
- Relevant qualifications in education, healthcare, childcare, or special educational needs are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in providing personal care.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
