SEND Teaching Assistants Required

Both flexible daily supply and full-time long-term positions available
Daily Rate – £85-95 Depending on skills, qualifications and prior experience.
Connex Education is looking for compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team working with both SEND schools and ARPs in Waltham Forest.
Role Overview: We are looking for caring and skilled Teaching Assistants/ SEND support workers to provide essential academic support and personal care to students with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the classroom, helping students with complex needs in their learning and development.
- Provide personal care to students, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Support students individually or in small groups to achieve their specific learning objectives.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Promote the social and emotional well-being of students, assisting them in developing vital life skills.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with complex needs is essential.
- Relevant qualifications in education, healthcare, childcare, or special educational needs are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in providing personal care.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
